Dr Nikolaj Travica

Dr Nikolaj Travica has completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and psychophysiology at Swinburne University, in addition to completing an Honours degree in psychology. Dr Nikolaj Travica completed his PhD at the Centre for Human Psychopharmacology, Swinburne University, in collaboration with the National Institute of Integrative Medicine, which examined the relationship between vitamin C and cognitive function in healthy adults and post-operative patients.
Dr Travica worked as a clinical trials coordinator at the National Institute of Integrative Medicine, where he was involved in coordinating several clinical trials exploring the effects of various nutrients (both intravenous and oral) and herbs on human health. These trials involved undertaking extensive assessments of cardiovascular, gut and brain function.
Following the completion of his PhD, Dr Travica completed an Executive Dean’s post-doctoral research fellowship at the Food and Mood Centre, Deakin University, where his research program covered a broad range of projects involving the use nutraceuticals for gut and brain health as well as cognition.
Dr Travica has published numerous papers in high indexed peer reviewed journals and has presented at various Australian and international conferences.
Dr Travica is currently a senior researcher at Biological Therapies, where he is researching the clinical use and safety of injectable & oral nutrients. At Biological Therapies, Dr Travica is also involved in regulatory affairs tasks such as pharmacovigilance and the registration of products. He is also a lecturer for the Australasian Institute for Medical Nutrition (AIMN).
